Day 2
In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone.
Oh wow. This was actually really difficult for me; I'm on my 19th year participating in fandom and I have so many great memories! I didn't manage to narrow it down to 1. I did manage to narrow it down to 2 memories which really stand out.
My first one is when seyren visited a few years ago. I haven't met many fandom friends irl because I haven't had money to travel or go to shows for years, and I don't live somewhere lots of people visit so it was fun to have someone fannish to talk to irl for a bit!
My second is the kindness of fandom friends when I was expecting my son. I received so much encouragement and a bunch of gifts and it made a difficult time for me so much easier. It was such a great reminder of just how supportive a community fandom can be.
