Day 19: Favorite of Taylor's hairstyles

Well, I do miss that rattail but I think his very best hair was in 2003-2004. It just framed his face really well in that period and looked sooo good.

My very favourite was summer 2004 when it started to get a little long again - just long enough that he would pull it into a pony sometimes and... yeah, I have a thing for men with their hair in a pony tail! It looked really gorgeous down as well though.

I think this is the closest we ever got to having 90s Taylor back and he looks so pretty. <333 And I totally want to run my fringers through his hair and... the poses?! Can't even deal, I swear.

Seriously, dude is always so well *lit*! It's like he brings his own spotlight with him everywhere. That "aura" in "I Will Come To You" video got nothin' on the constant illumination that seems to follow him.

I do agree with your comment that this is probably closest to 90s Tay. And not to play fashion critic, but I like his coat, too. Love that cut of the collar, and it pairs well with the scarf.

I've actually been completely okay with all of Tay's hairstyles, and I appreciate the slight variations in cut, or maybe coloring (lots of that might be natural/seasonal from sun, esp. with the walks), or maybe product used (lol). But I always kind of like the way it sat/fell during "This Time Around" era, like the "If Only" video. Great length, I thought:

Seriously. The light just seems to be at odds with Ike and Zac. And then there is Tay. Who seems to be illuminated by a completely different light than what's falling on his brothers anyway?! It's letting him be the focal point of the picture despite the fact that he is in the fucking background!

And the coat! HELL YEAH! I love it so hard. I wish he would wear coats like it much more often. I love that collar and I seriously love the scarf on him - some of his scarves are rather hideous but the ones that aren't... it suits him so well!

Same with the Popeater pics, the jacket and scarf he wore that really flattered him too:



His TTA hair was really nice too. He looks like a proper rockstar in the If Only video!

Hey, I've seen you mention "The Popeater pics" a few times. Is it just the photos scattered amongst the various entries at http://www.popeater.com/tag/Hanson/ ? Or is there a main/master photo archive link? Some days, I feel so out of it!

Yeah, that's a great coat also! Sometimes his scarves look silly (like when they're just with a T-shirt) but paired right, and I guess if the weather is right where he is, they work well.

I just had to make fun of Tay's perpetual lighting in the first chapater of my fic as well. :) It's uncanny. That picture is really funny that way.

You really nailed it with the "He looks like a proper rockstar" comment for "If Only" video! YES!!! I remember the first time watching it and having just that revelation - I don't know why, but even back then I was like "Okay, he's *graduated*." I didn't know "graduated" from what, really, just that it made sense. I think the evolution from "MON" was really pronounced, as he evolved into a more mature, self-defined and confident performer and person. It was very cool! I remember thinking of older performers like The Rolling Stones or something and how this video seemed to cast him in that light. I actually vastly preferred the "If Only" video to the "This Time Around" video, although I liked "If Only" less as a song itself. "If Only" video seems so stylish and cinematic with some great touches - and it still holds up okay! (Unlike "TTA" video, IMHO.)

I am seriously in love with these photos. The guys look so great and I am such an awesomely huge fan of candid photos as well! Plus the Zaylor pic from it... one of the most gorgeous Zaylor pics EVER. I love love love the look on Taylor's face and the way he just sort of seems to be looking into Zac's eyes in it... cuteness.

Lol I noticed that in your fic! It made me squee!!! Seriously, that man... I don't even know. He sure is the prettiest straight (or is that "straight"?) man I have ever seen!

Hehe, he reminded me a bit of like Bon Jovi or something in that era. He was definitely very much like the rockstars of the 80s. And I love 80s rock. So naturally I loved him in the TTA days. ^^
