Hancest Recs...

I don't know how many people have noticed, but I keep a frequently updated list of Hancest stories I come across that I recommend others to read in my memories. I know from talking to a few new people on my list that some of my readers are quite new or recently returned to the Hancest world, so I thought I should point this out since a few people have asked what I would recommend. These are of course not the only good stories out there, just my own favourites, and I will say any any story by any author who features in the list is likely to be a worthwile and enjoyable read. I'm just newly returned to Hancest myself anyway so I'm still catching up too. ^^

Anyway, I also wanted to plug these two new stories that I came across this week, because the first chapters of both really intrigued me and I think my own readers would possibly enjoy them.

I know I have other lovers of fucked-up Tay on my list and the first chapter of this certainly had that.


On a slightly different note, a few people have asked me these questions so I thought I should make it known that:

1) I'm an experienced beta with too much time on my hands so I'm happy to proofread stories for other authors.

2) I have both AIM and MSN (screenames are on my profile), and I'll happily chat about stories (sometimes throwing story ideas around just helps!), Hanson or just life in general. I don't mind getting PMs about any of those things either. I love making new friends. :)

3) Noone has asked me but... really, I don't bite! And really, I mean it when I say I like to chat to people - so if there is something you want feel free to throw me a PM.

"Jack and Diane", huh? What an infectiously great tune. I didn't even mind Jessica Simpson sampling it for "I Think I'm In Love With You" in the day because it completely dominated her song and made me ignore the suckier parts of it. ;) My mind could just drift back to hearing "Jack & Diane" as needed.

In my fanfic, Tay is looking for just *that* perfect 80s song to cover for a project. "Jack & Diane" is one I totally hadn't thought of for ages. Now I think it'll be one of the possibilities he's sifting through when this little idea continues to run through through the next chapter. :) Thanks!
